Tenders and Contracts

The Contracts Unit is responsible for all procurement and contract management processes at Council. Council regularly enters into competitive arrangements for the purchase of works, goods and services needed to provide 'best value' procurement outcomes to ratepayers and others in the municipality.

Council is committed to conducting its tender processes with fairness and probity in accordance with State Government Guidelines for Procurement Best Practice, and guarantees the commercial confidentiality of any individual or Company submitting a tender for Council services.

Greater Dandenong has an e-tendering website that provides Council suppliers easy access to a range of tendering information and services associated with Council's tendering program. This e-tendering system has been developed by evalue.com

NOTE: Prospective tenderers will be able to view tender documents to determine whether they are interested in submitting. If you are going to submit a tender and if IPro Live registration is required (as per the tender document), then you must register and become compliant with all requirements prior to lodging any tender or quote.

Contractor Registration and Pre-qualification Scheme

Contractors wishing to tender or quote for works for the City of Greater Dandenong within certain value limits must first become registered and pre-qualified to do so. Contractors are registered and pre-qualified on an annual basis and must apply each year to have that registration and pre-qualification renewed.

The aims of the contractor registration and pre-qualification scheme are to:

  • Classify contractors commensurate with their quality, safety and environmental management systems, technical and resource capability, financial position and overall past performance
  • Streamline the process of tender preparation, submission and evaluation by significantly reducing the amount of information to be provided in the tender response
  • Provide a degree of protection to both the City of Greater Dandenong and contractors against over-commitment

Greater Dandenong has engaged a third-party called Ipro Solutions Pty Ltd to collect, manage and report for the scheme through their on-line 24/7 system called IPRO LIVE.

All contractors wishing to register for the scheme must register through Ipro LiVe, pay the prescribed fee and become fully compliant with the Greater Dandenong prequalification requirements prior to lodgement of any tender or quote. Refer to the tender document to confirm if registration is required.

The annual fee is $275 or $550 including GST depending on the number of employees.
