Hard waste booking service

Download Hard Waste Brochure

Residents are entitled to one free ‘at call’ hard waste collection each financial year. Call WM Waste Management Services on 9721 1915 between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday to book your collection.

Additional collections available to residents. Charges will apply. Contact WM Waste Management Services for prices.

Bookings

When you book, WM Waste Management Services will send you a brochure with a list of acceptable items, They will advise when the collectable items are to be left out and when collection will take place. It is important to follow these guidelines as unacceptable items will not be collected.

Collection Instructions

Hard waste must be placed in three piles:

  • Mattresses (maximum 2)
  • Furniture
  • White goods/metals

A maximum of 3 cubic metres of rubbish applies. These items, along with glass, mirrors, timber, carpet, appliances, metal tools and equipment, hot water systems, lawn mowers, fridges and freezers will all be collected.

Items that will not be collected include car tyres, batteries, garden waste, recyclables, household waste, building or renovation materials, gas cylinders, chemicals, oil, paint, asbestos, hazardous waste, bricks, concrete, rubble, soil, cement sheeting.

A "knock back" notice will be placed in the resident's letter box to advise of any non-compliant articles.

Hard Waste Collection

Collections are programmed into zones throughout the municipality and commence at 6am each Monday, concluding at 4pm on Friday of that week. Please do not add to the collection pile after 6am on the Monday.

If items are not placed out prior to the arrival of the collectors, the free collection will be forfeited. Further collections are available on a 'user pays' basis.

As three separate collections take place for general waste, metals, and mattresses and may be carried out over several days, not all of you waste may be removed on the same day.

Items must not be placed out any earlier than the Saturday prior to the Monday collection date, if the collection is to take place from the nature strip.

Does it need to go into hard waste?

Reusing items is a great way to reduce your environmental impact, save money and reduce the amount of material that you send to landfill.
