ABOUT THE MUSO NETWORK

Mission
To ensure music and entertainment are utilised as a strong medium for the development of young people in a positive, stimulating and safe environment.

This will be done by providing informal training, the acquisition of new skills, completion of accredited training courses, opportunities for connecting with music industry networks and pathways into formal education and employment.

In carrying out this mission, the Muso Network Volunteers create a range of events for young people that are relevant, youth focused, provide live performance opportunities for local bands and are supportive of original live music acts.

Vision
The Muso Network aims to be the best youth managed entertainment group which assists young people in discovering their own potential.

Brief History
The Muso Network is a voluntary advisory and management group of young people whose primary role is to organise music-related events and services for young people on behalf of the City of Greater Dandenong.

Its secondary role is to provide an informal ‘life and vocational skills’ training ground for young people where they can learn a whole range of skills whilst enjoying something they love – music!
