The Noble Park/Keysborough Community Drug Action Forum (formerly known as the Noble Park Drug Action Committee) ran from 2001 - 2007. It was established in response to the growing community concern about the harm related to drug use in the local area. The forum is a community-based group with membership including local businesses, residents, Victoria Police and the City of Greater Dandenong and representatives from treatment and support agencies.
The primary goal of The Noble Park/Keysborough Community Drug Action Forum was: To establish effective partnerships between government, local police, local Government, community organisations and the community which allow for the effective delivery of improved community safety, prevention, education and treatment programs. - To ensure the Forum is representative of the community
- To seek and share information and resources and to strengthen communication and collaboration across the drug-related field and the wider community
- To develop an understanding of the impact of illicit drug use through information sharing and research
- The Forum will consider all drug issues licit and illicit
- To respond quickly to important new priority drug-related local issues
- To prioritise key issues in the local community for action
- To develop local policy direction on particular drug-related issues
- To link with other Drug Action Committees and activities
