Urban Food Garden Project

Greater Dandenong’s Urban Food Garden will be located in a busy corridor in the centre of Dandenong, between the new Harmony Square and Dandenong Station, along Halpin Way. The site is strategically positioned next to a buzzing hub with restaurants, cafes and great retail, as well as local workers.

The Dandenong Central Garden will be a new growing space for community groups, workers, businesses and cafes to use and enjoy in the heart of Dandenong on Halpin Way, just minutes from Dandenong Train Station and Harmony Square. The garden will be a dynamic and inclusive community space with a range of growing places to congregate and enjoy.

This is a great opportunity to showcase the benefits and community building potential of urban agriculture right in the hearth of Melbourne’s second CBD. Supporting health where you live, learn, work and play. The first stage of this development is proposed for May 2016.
