Choosing a Kindergarten

When should I enrol my child?
Starting kindergarten is an important milestone in the lives of both you and your child. To be eligible to enrol in a funded kindergarten program, your child must be at least four years old by 30 April of the year they are starting kindergarten. If I have a question, who do I contact?
If parents, family or caregivers have any questions about enrolling in 4 year old kindergarten, please contact your local Kindergarten, Maternal & Child Health Nurse or the your local Council Customer Support.
What if my child isn't ready to go to kindergarten? Who can help?
Sometimes children may not be ready to start 4 year old kindergarten. Preschool Field Officers can work with the children and the funded kindergarten services to ensure that children are included within their kindergarten year. Please contact your local Kindergarten, Maternal & Child Health Nurse or the preschool field officers.

How do I enrol in 3 Year Old Kindergarten?
