Arts in Greater Dandenong

Cube Square by Brett Ashby

Cube Square by local artist Brett Ashby has added colour and a bold new design to a disused substation between Halpin Way and Settlers Square in Dandenong.

The area is frequented by hundreds of pedestrians each hour making their way from Dandenong Railway Station to town.

Ashby, who has previously undertaken an artist in residence at Heritage Hill in Dandenong, has worked with local students to bring his artwork to life.

Students from Dandenong Primary School helped create positive and up-lifting phrases that feature as part of the work.

The Transformed Project first began in the City of Greater Dandenong in 2006. Since then more than 30 art installations have helped transform public spaces in central Dandenong.
