Ignite Greater Dandenong
The Dynamic World of Startups
Ignite Greater Dandenong is a program that offers a range of activities and resources for people looking to get a business idea off the ground, and/or existing businesses looking to scale-up or grow their business.
The workshop series, consisting of twelve sessions, provides an overview of the major considerations to start or scale-up your existing business – essentially what you need to know to plan your business or idea. Workshops are delivered monthly and it is recommended that you attend the whole series if possible.
Masterclasses target specific topics related to the startup space. Delivered monthly, speakers will be advertised closer to the scheduled events, but you can expect presentations on how to actually get your business up and running, practical testimonials from successful startups and networking opportunities.
Businesses in the Ignite program have the opportunity to have customised one-on-one mentoring for their business idea or specific stage in their business development. Offering approximately 20 per month, participants can clarify questions or seek further support on the training material covered in a workshop or masterclass.
Ignite Great Dandenong will have a dedicated co-working space available for businesses requiring an environment to turn their business idea into a reality, while also providing the opportunity to network with like-minded people. The space, to be located on Level 4, Dandenong Civic Centre, 225 Lonsdale Street will open from February and can be accessed weekdays from 10am - 6pm. To register your interest in using this space, please email Ignitegreaterdandenong@cgd.vic.gov.au
Two Hackathons will be held in 2019 when entrepreneurs will get a chance to 'pitch' their idea to a panel of subject-matter experts.
To be eligible to participate in this program, you must be a small business, have a business concept or idea you wish to develop or test, or be an existing business looking to scale-up.
