Have your say on the Youth Strategy 2016-19

The revised Youth Strategy 2016-19 has been developed following consultation with young people, local agencies, government departments, schools and incorporates existing National and State Government policy. 

The revised Youth Strategy 2016-19 and accompanying Youth Action Plan 2016-19 will serve to guide and drive the strategic direction of Council’s work in relation to young people, 12-25 years over the course of the next four years.


About the Youth Strategy

The revised Youth Strategy 2016-19 outlines Council’s role in addressing concerns, issues and needs of young people. 

The priority areas outlined in the revised Youth Strategy include:

  • Leading collaborative service provision for young people
  • Opportunities to work, learn and engage
  • Support health and wellbeing of young people
  • Recognising the strengths of young people as engaged citizens
