Have your say on the Springvale Laneway Revitalisation Project

15 March 2016

The City of Greater Dandenong is looking at ways to enliven and upgrade two laneway connections through the Springvale Activity Centre - Post Office Lane and Laneway 248 (currently closed to pedestrian access).

These laneways offer important pedestrian connections from Springvale Road to the adjacent car parks and retail areas between Warwick Avenue and Buckingham Street.

This project presents a fantastic opportunity to change not only the appearance of these spaces but also make a positive contribution to the centre through a relevant and site specific revitalisation.

The project will need to balance a range of practical requirements such as accessibility, safety and maintenance, as well as take into careful consideration the existing character of Springvale, and propose how these laneways can further contribute to the spirit of this rich and developing precinct.

Have your say

The City of Greater Dandenong is seeking feedback from the general community in deciding the future of these laneways. The community is invited to share their views concerning these laneways, as well as  their connection with Springvale and hopes for its future.
