The City of Greater Dandenong Community Care Department currently provides a range of in-home care services that enable older residents who are over 65, (50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) or have a disability, to live as independently as possible in their own home and community for as long as they can and wish to do so.

The service aims for high quality, low intensity, ongoing support such as domestic assistance, personal care, respite care, meals on wheels and home maintenance. Services provided take into account each person's individual goals, preferences and choices with a focus on pathways and activities that support wellness, independence and reablement when required.
